How to Watch Taekwondo Olympics Game 2021 Live Stream Online. TV channels, Schedule, Participating Nations, Venue

Taekwondo at the Olympics Game made its first appearance as a demonstration sport at the 1988 Olympics Game in Seoul, South Korea. The opening ceremony featured a mass demonstration of taekwondo with hundreds of adults and children performing moves in unison. Taekwondo was again a demonstration sport at the 1992 Olympics Game in Barcelona, Spain. Taekwondo became a full medal sport at the 2000 Olympics Game in Sydney, Australia, and has been a sport in the Olympic games since then.

Olympic competition format
For the Olympic competition, there will be a single-elimination tournament for each of the weight categories. The winner of the tournament final will receive the gold medal, and the loser will receive the silver medal while a Repechage competition will occur for the bronze medal contest.

Repechage: Anyone who loses to a finalist in the single-elimination competition enters the repechage. “In the repechage, the losers of the semifinals during the elimination phase will be seeded directly to each of repechage finals, but on the opposite side of the bracket. Other losers will advance to the repechage unseeded, at the same side of the bracket in which they contested during the elimination phase.” The athletes who lost to the two finalists in the round of 16 each face the athlete that lost to the same finalist in the quarterfinals; the winners of those contests face the athlete that lost to the same finalist in the semifinals. The two finalists of the repechage each receive a bronze medal.

Up until the 2012 Olympics Game, a National Olympic Committee could only send a maximum of two men and two women competitors, without regard whether it is the host nation. This restriction has been lifted for the 2016 Olympics Game, so each National Olympic Committee may now qualify one athlete per weight category.

Olympics Game 2021 Participating Nations List:

Below is a list of all the countries that the International Olympic Committee currently recognizes as National Olympic Committees.
Five countries have been represented at all Olympics Game 2021 – Greece, Great Britain, France, Switzerland, and Australia, though not always as part of official teams. Even though they boycotted the 1956 Olympics, Switzerland is on this list – they had competed in the equestrian events several months earlier in Stockholm. France did not send a team to the 1904 Games, but alone, Frenchman did compete for the USA and a mixed team. Also, in 1896 Great Britain competed as part of the ‘United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland,’ while Australia participated in 1908 and 1912 as part of a combined Australasia team with New Zealand. Therefore, only Greece has participated under its own flag in all modern summer Olympic Games out of these five nations.
As per the information that we have, the following nations are participating. There might be certain changes in the coming future.
